Davis Webb coaching quarterbacks on the Denver Broncos sideline
Denver Broncos · Offensive coordinator
“Brad is the best QB coach I have ever had.”
Davis Webb

It’s all about time on task and the ability to respond.

E1|S2Two 5 college quarterbacks.

Before the curriculum runs, the processing gets measured. The way he sees, holds, and decides. Quantified.

Two quarterbacks can post the same composite score and need completely different work. The E1 Report is what tells you which one is in front of you.

Same Score · Different Build

The S2 report reads the eyes. The highest value return with time on task was not the eyes.

QB A · Case Study
S2 Composite87%
Speed78%
Accuracy44%
Impulse Control35%
Distraction Control47%

The state breaks. The throw goes early.

He can't hold.

QB B · Case Study
S2 Composite89%
Speed96%
Accuracy38%
Visual Learning23%
Instinctive Learning14%

The eyes see fast and store nothing.

He can't learn.

Different build zone

Same 14 week path. Completely different content. The difference between wasting fourteen weeks on the wrong training and spending fourteen weeks building the right highway in the right sequence.

S2 measures the ceiling. E1 closes the distance.

05 · The pathway

Person · Connector · Athlete · Player

A connector is the player who raises the people around him. He sees the chances every day, because it's his job title. Everyone aligned to the anchor goals.

06 · Outcomes by age
Retain
The game plan becomes automatic.
Named
What's costing the room.
Confident
Steady under load, week after week.
Owned
Consistent execution.
Connect
Raises everyone around him, every day.
07 · The proof, by age

Middle school · Case D

A sixth grader. Flag football only. Tackle football is a year away.

What he said
Asked what he’s confident in, he listed nine things: stop and go, slants versus zone, post, corner, throwing from the pocket, hitting the receiver within five seconds.
What he admitted
Asked to grade how honest that list was, he said 80 percent. Some of those throws he has only made a couple of times, so he doesn’t have the precision yet. He put them on the list anyway.
What he already owned
His favorite concept works, and he knew why: “It gives me more time to visualize the play.” His feet were matching the timing of the route. He found that on his own.
What he walked away with
One thing. “The timing and the matching of my footwork.”

He came in wanting to fix pressure. Pressure was not the problem. Confidence in what already made him good was the problem.

High school · Case C

A quarterback evaluated in August.

What the film shows
Pocket is quiet. Feet match his eyes. Same grip every throw.
What it does not
A big hit, and the next play his feet are in concrete. Fresh he is a five. Tired he is a three.

Pressure does not take him. Fatigue does. No combine number showed that. He named it in twenty minutes. Work starts on the first snap of the game. Then the lower half when he is tired. Then the one throw he still second guesses.

College · Case B

A freshman quarterback. Live snaps against a Power 4 defense. Began June.

Spring
Backside of the read. Safety and backer were not where he had them. He froze.
Camp
Same play family. “I think it’s this” became “I know it’s this.”
Live
Third and six. Face mask turns, feet aligned by the third step, Mike held. Ball on the receiver’s face. Thirteen yards.

That is the play. Not the score. Confirmed by his father. Confirmed by the son. Confirmed by the film. Owned. Confident.

Power 4 · Case A

A quarterback who won the starting job in fall camp.

Week 1
Poise, instinct, self assessment.
Week 2
State broke. He reset. The team caught him. The real Build.
Week 3
He named it himself: stop playing timid.

The room already had the install. What it did not have was the picture arriving when it got loud. Summer schedule prepped the shift to respond. The Build.

09 · The standard

The glue is commitment, discipline, and the toughness to channel it. The read is the key. Consistent execution decides how far it goes.

That's clear.
